Cold War Spies pulls the iron curtain back on the Cold War, a conflict fought by spies not soldiers, where the weapons were secret cameras, miniature recording devices, codes, stealth and poisoned umbrellas (for stabbing targets). With contributions by former agents of the CIA, M15 and the KGB, each episode will explore a theme: Double Agents, Most Wanted, Licence To Kill, Doomsday, Special Ops, Sexpionage. The stories will include archive film from the time, supplemented by evocations of key moments and first-hand accounts from those who lived to tell the tale.
